I'm sure I read it on here some time ago.
If so how many? I've got a stored 73, which is I hope because I started her without reconnecting the ICV to the air pipe.
Interestingly, earlier I started and ran with the rear multiram unplugged but no codes were thrown up. Seems odd as codes are listed.

Normally yes... 20 I think :y
Although there are some codes it won't clear ;)
-
I have always understood that 25 start cycles (ie cold start and warm up to running temperature) would clear a stored code.
I don't have any evidence for my understanding though so it would be nice if there was something in TIS to back me up :y

Hi, I am also confused with this, I was told Omega's ECU only wipes codes after several clean starts,
I have an Issue with my Omega at the moment, Most times on starting its over fueling, flooding and failing to start.
Yet connecting Fault reader displays nothing, even though dash warning light was on and limp home mode activated?!
When I bought the car it was displaying Bank 1 Sensor 3 Lambda sensor, not had this since.
Confused much! Any ideas?

what code reader? I would guess it isnt working with your car.
our old 2.2 wouldnt work with some generic readers
-
I have two, A Gunson and a Draper Expert, both of which say the same thing.
Its just working out what is sending this over fueling signal, it typically happens if moving the car out the drive way, etc, short pointless runs,
But however, restarting it runs perfect! I'm down to headbanging!

I'd try and have a go with a Vauxhall only tool, may have more look :y

Ok, Cheers JimBob :y

Thanks for the replies. So 20 - 25 starts should see it gone with a bit of luck.
Best put an x on the calender around easter then.
Cheers

Some codes clear on fix, some after around 30 clean starts, some never.
