Title: Steering idler
Post by: Entwood on 01 March 2011, 23:00:19
Having had "them that know" inform me at the meet last weekend that my steering idler is on its way ..... for a 2001 3.2 .....

Is this a) the right bit, b) a decent one, c) best value .... [ d) self fitting :)  :)  ] ??

http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1220825-Steering-idler-arm-Original-equipment-Lemforder-14927-01-9195731.html

Thanks :)

(reason for asking ... can't find "steering idler" in the EPC anywhere .. :( )

IIRC Nige, the Lemforder jobbie comes complete with the chassis mounting bracket (as do genuine Vx ones).
Hence the price differential?

If you do replace the whole assembly, I've the bolts for it here. new and unused. :y

Purchased by mistake. ::) Basically I ordered the idler and bolts from vx and only realised when I collected the parts that I'd only actually ordered the arm itself. :-X

if needed let me know and I'll endeavour to find them in the jumble that is the garage. :y
