Went to start the car this morning and i had to turn it over 3 times before it started. Ran fine and started fine thereafter.
Was it just its time of the month or could it be a sign of things to come? ;D

Always worth getting the codes read and then take it from there, depending on the results.... ;)

Did paperclip test and only got a 31 which is normal i believe for a V6?

Do you have a spare crank sensor? if not I would get one as you may well need one soon, I always have one in the boot. They don't always throw up a code when on the way out.

Are they expensive/easy to replace?

When it did start, did it run lumpy/rough/missfire for a few seconds then clear and run normally ? If so replace your spark plugs. Happened to me more than once over the years. :)

No ran as smooth as normal. Its gone from fault free to this, squealing brakes and vibrating exhaust heat shield. Mainly niggles but still ;D

One bolt and one electrical plug. Bit fiddly to thread through, sensor bolts in by oil filter and wire routes up to behind passenger side cylinder head area. No idea on price I am afraid. :)
This should help fitting http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1174321688
