Hi - I am fitting a set elite facelift seats
Into my facelift mv6
Is there anything I need to do
Before removing seats.
I know there are a couple of wires need unplugging - I am worried about airbags ect

Your need to disconnect the Battery, go and have breakfast then start the job (30 mins later).

Safest way is to disconnect battery, wait 10 minutes or so then remove seats. Make sure you`ve got the bolts for Elite seats as they are longer

As Rob says, the Elite seat bolts are longer the all the others ;)

Discon batt, and longer bolts as other said.
You also need to tweak the wiring under the seat as well...

Also when you say tweek wiring?
Also rear seats are heated
I have the panel with switches on,
Is the rest of the wiring already there on the loom
I see there is some already attached too seat

You MV6 only had electricery for the height adjustment so you'll need to alter the existing loom to provide power for the Elite adjustments ;)

For rears, you need the relays and loom bit, as well as switches

Has anyone who has done this made a wiring diagram. I have too admit my skill level was about reached when I thought it was just unplug and bolt new seat in

Anyone any idea how long the elite bolts are?
Just changing mine and not sure if the bolts are with the seats.

Best to get new bolts from vx. They cost pence, and you'll probably butcher at least one of the old bolts removing them.

Hmmm. Valid point, I'm no electrician, but I've found all the wiring on mine to be pretty straight forward. (Ex plod so plenty of rewiring :D). If the haynes manual is good for any thing it has to be the wiring diagrams IMHO.
As long as you are aware of the differences between mini f/l and f/l cars, (and also the engines),
then the diagrams for 'Later models' is a fair interpretation of what's what. Just be sure to take the time to study the diagrams so that you're 100% happy with the layout and colours of the wiring.
