hi all are exhaust manifolds gaskets easy to do drivers side needs doing gaskets only about £12 but ive been told about an hour to do is that right thanks :y

I'd say about 5 1/2 hours and lots of swearing ;)
Mark reckons about 3 hours but then he is an Omega genious..... :y
Make sure you use the layered gasket!

OMG i thought the drivers side wasnt to bad my mechanic said about an hour to do are there any diagrams on forum to see how you change gasket :y

If your mechanic says an hour then get a fixed price off him and let him do it ;)

£12 gasket then a mortgage to pay to have it fitted DONT BLOODY BELIIIVE IT!!! i dont know what to do now >:( >:( >:(

You'll need the multi layer manifold gasket from Vauxhall, manifold to down pipe gasket, 4 dowty washers for the coolant bridge, an O ring for the coolant transfer pipe oh and it might be worth getting a few manifold studs and nuts just incase ;)

If I can do one in 3 hours in the middle of a field then a 'professional' mechanic should have no issues!

If you do decide to diy any chance of you doing a guide , as I can't see one in the maintenance section and I need to do mine but haven't much of a clue how to do it. :y
