I'm going to be doing my own cambelt kit change in a few weeks and could do with some advice on a cambelt kit service tool kit.
Rather than hire or borrow one, after purchasing a kit for my own (any excuse to buy yet another tool toy ::)), but after looking around, the only one I can find is a Sealey kit (VS130), though sealey are asking around the £300 mark, which is a bit steep.
I've found someone on ebay that sells the same kit for less. But as in the listing of models, the 3.2 isn't mentioned, so wondering if the kit will still be suitable for setting up the 3.2 timing ? :-?
The one I'm after has these service parts in it as I need the lot to do it correctly.

Any advice regarding the kit or anyone who does the same kind of kit (don't want cheap nasty one) for reasonable money, I'd appreciate the help :y

That'll do, although IIRC you want to avoid the Laser kit ;) ;)
Obviously you also need a 30mm offset ring spanner :y :y

Try searching for VSE130 its still made by sealey but its there cheaper kit and yes it will do the 3.2 but as said you will still need to get a 30mm offset ring spanner.

edit this kit inc the spanner is only £87 http://www.toollineuk.com/product.php/site/froogle/sn/VSE130

Link don't work mate - try this - http://www.toollineuk.com/product.php/site/froogle/sn/VSE130
Says nothing about the 30mm spanner tho' :(
Whoops - think they call it a "belt guide roller adjuster" or a 30mm cranked ring spanner in layman's terms :y

If you're patient, they do occasionally come up on eGay for reasonable prices (£50-£60)

Thanks all for helping out.
I need the kit pretty soon-ish as going to hopefully do the work next weekend.
More than likely go for the cheaper sealey VSe130 kit as not exactly like I'm going to be doing the job every weekend, unless I become another OOF mechanic ;D . So think I'll be sorted - Cheers :y .
Pete,
Thanks for the offer chap, unfortunately I can't bring my car over to you at the moment, as it's got a faulty camshaft sensor problem, so can't start the car at the moment ::).
Waiting for the part to turn up as that's the first job to sort out.
Luckly there's a local(ish) OOF mechanic that doesn't live too far away from me and he's going to be giving me some help / advice on how to do the job as I want to learn how to do it myself for the future, plus as you know I like to be as independant as I can be, even if it will take a little longer. Certainly appreciate the help out though and if it comes to it and my local mechanic can't help after all due to circumstances I may well call on your help at the end of the day? :y

Just want to add to the comment above....
I tried doing my own cambelt, (my first one ever), but became stuck getting one of the idlers to set properly. Elite Pete kindly came to my rescue.
A sound fella and a true gent :y
(now, about that commission pete?) ;)
