do you mean the fuel or the system? Its fuel like any other, it goes bang!
As for systems, most of us DIY'ers use Stag systems. I've done over 15k in mine in LPG, and its not missed a beat.
Infact most Stag users here have done 20k or more, between us, I don't think we have had any issues.
V6 systems tend to lag a bit when booting it at very high-rpm, but for average use work very well.

I have a Stag 300 Plus fitted to my 1998 MV6 3.0l auto. No issues beyond my desire to tinker ::)

"how good it is" - average savings around 9-10 pence per mile on fuel costs. (38% saving :) ) Absolutely no loss of power or performance.
"how reliable" - totaly .. 30,000 miles, 3 years and no problems.
I have a different system .. BRC instead of the Stag .. and don't suffer from the tiny, intermittent, lag some of the guys get. But mine cost 3 times what theirs did !!!

My dads 3.2 is fitted with a BRC system and does not suffer any lag at all, super smooth and just like being on petrol.

I know another lag free Brc system on a 3.2 auto. Trying to get over to look at it, maybe this week.

Mine's done 150,000 miles since the LPG system was fitted :y So working on Entwoods figures, lets say 9p per mile, that's a massive saving of £13500!!! 8-)

The BRC system has a couple of major differences... The Vaporiser and (probably) a timing processor ;)
Hopefully be going down to Teilo again in the not too distant future to try a few different things on mine ;)
To the OP: I've done over 50k in about 2 years and had 1 minor fault... A sensor packed up

One stag owner had a fuse blow, causing it to run on petrol

Oh yes... That was me too! Although the fuse didn't actually blow, it snapped ;) It was 1A IIRC and so fine it snapped. The newer looms don't have that fuse now anyway as it isn't needed :y
