Just finishing off the pre-MOT checks on the MV6.
My windscreen washers aren't spraying water.
Is there a fuse for the pump?
Or is it likely to be a cable I've left unplugged when I've replaced the ABS ECU?

Hey, Last time I had an Issue with the washers not working on my Omega was due to the pump, If you can hear the pump running then it is more likely to be something like scale dislodged.
My previous Omega also has that issue, im not sure if its due the fact there is lack of filters in the Vauxhall washer systems,??

How many filters do you want in a gallon of washer fluid? ;) The pump fits to the bottle in a filter, it's this filter that gets sludged up due to cheap or lack of screen wash. ;)

BIG EGG, remove the pump from the bottle and clean the filter that the pump pushes into. it is as simples as that mate. Happens from time to time if the fluid is too strong or just water. :y

will do.
Am at home now, and car is at work.
BUT:
It doesn't sound as tho the pump is running, hence my question about fuses/cables.
Does it have an auto cutout when the filter is blocked?

ffcgary's fix assumes that the pump is spinning but no water at the screen. The pump will be fused somewhere :-/ no idea which fuse though ..... have you read the manual? ::) ;)

above manual says fuse 3 which also feeds your wipers ............ you'd have noticed if your wipers didn't work. ;) ;)

I can't check until tomorrow, but after looking at the "cleaning filter" maintenance guide, linked above, I'm guessing I've unplugged the pump when I did the ABS ecu, because
I also removed the front grille (pre f/l) to give it a good clean at the same time.

oh yeah, my wipers work :.)

Stick 12V to the pump, if it`s knackered I`ve got one here :)
-
cheers robg - I might take you up on that after I check in the morning.
I am hoping it's only the wire thats come loose, or something easily fixable.
cos I need to get the car on the road before wednesday, cos that's when the MOT on the van runs out, and it gets crushed...

If it is the pump knackered I can get it in the post Monday :y
