Hi all my cruise control is not working a (52plate Cd 22 auto petrol) it has not worked since i bought her in january this year any advice on where to begin to look , regards L

Being a CD spec are you sure you have cruise fitted
-
As above....
Someone may have fitted the cruise control stalk, but not actually got it activated.
Another way to tell is look to see if you have the cruise cancallation switch on the brake pedal (if auto) which switches the cruise off when you hit the brake pedal.
If you don't have it activated, you can retro fit a cruise stalk and brake pedal switch, then get it activated, but maybe worth asking who can on here, as I expect the stealers (dealer) will charge quite a bit to activate it.

Standard on late model facelifts ;)

All facelifts have the 4 pin brake switch.
To OP, only way to tell is to plug it in to a Tech2

As Rob says does it actually have Cruise as in the correct stalk on the left side of the steering wheel. Mines a CD spec and i was told it had Cruise when i bought it, it didn't.
Having said that i knew nothing about omegas then and probably less now ;D ;D

I don't know if the Omega suffers the same problem but on certain lesser models in the Vx range issues with cruise not activating can be down to a worn return mechanism on the brake (or clutch) pedal. Check this by 'lifting' the brake pedal using your foot hooked underneath it, then press the button on the end of the indicator stalk to activate cruise.
Try not to let your self be distracted from the task of driving whilst doing this...
