Title: Diesel Starting Trouble

Vauxhall Omega 2.0 DTI Well got new diesel pump ouch, fitted primer pump, changed injector pipes, its trying to start but just won't ignite. any ideas

tow it bud, sometimes its the only way with the dti

Any fault codes present, ones that aren't related to the fuel pump!?
Also you could try Easy Start, just to confirm it is a fuel problem.

I've tried towing it, It's about to fire up but does'nt. just keeps trying to start after that when turning engine over.

had 2 that needed towing for over a mile before they fired up, how far did you tow it? had to use a transit van as it was the only thing that could keep pulling it!!

Also you could try [size=7]Easy Start[/size], just to confirm it is a fuel problem.
Carb cleaner is better not as adictive :-*

How? There is no official bleeding procedure for these pumps, the system is meant to be self priming. You could try loosening the fuel feed to the injector furthest from the pump but it probably won't help.

Best thing to do is make sure the fuel filter bowl is full of fuel and then operate the starter in 10-15 second bursts, allowing time for the starter motor to cool before cranking again. After around 4 cycles you'll need to fill the fuel filter back up and start again. This may not help if the pump timing is out or the pump is still brokended...

got it started changed like an inlet valve with breather pipe goes into like a throttle linkage to take in air. dont know what it's called but very smokie. any ideas.
