Hi
OK, I've bought a cheapo Tech2 (OBD factory) and I think I now have the wherewithal to connect it to a laptop that has the required ports.
A few Q's...
1.I have a disc supplied with the Tech2 - do I have to have it in the CD drive when I connect the Tech2, or is it purely a list of codes and what they mean?
2. Do I connect to the diagnostic port with the ignition on or off (I assume I don't want the engine running???)
3. Where exactly is the diagnostic port? I've looked around, but I can't see it.
4. If I'm asking all these questions, should I give up now and take it to the stealer and pay him his £45 for half an hour?

It's in the fusebox (Under the steering column, lower part of the dash) just between the relays and fuses.

1) the hugarian software needs to be installed, then disk no longer needed

3)in cabin fusebox under steering wheel
