Post by: osealy on 23 April 2011, 17:59:06
Thinking of buying another td wagon for the fleet.
Vendor said airbag light came on in cold weather at the same time as sunroof stopped workink!

The obvious thing would be check the fuse for the sunroof, also check that the airbag connection wire hasn't come loose from the steering wheel hub - make sure you disconnect the battery before you do this job though and wait a few minutes before you have a look. :y
You don't want to give yourself a surprise and new underwear

it may just have been a blip, but you need a good code reader to reset the light to check if there is or isnt a fault present.

Annoyingly once a fault with the system is detected, it shuts down till the code is deleted.

Dont think they are part of the test, but the length of time on is logged in the ecu and could be an awkward conversation in the event of a in insurance claim.
