I'm rebuilding my steering & suspension on the front.
I have got already
2x new complete struts with springs
2x new lower wishbones
Need to get
2x long tie rods (tie rod at both ends)
1x center link rod
1x drop link ?
1x steering idler arm
2x anti roll bar rubbers
Is there anything I've missed out :question
Cheers

Cheers on my old mercs there was only 1 drop link & looking at a pic of the underneath I could only see 1 but thought it might of had 2

If by drop link you mean the arm that connects the steering box to the centre tie rod, its the pitman arm ?iirc and there is only one. :y
If however you mean the rods that connect the strut to the anti roll bar, then there are 2, one each side. :y
When you say new struts and springs do you mean brand spanking new or new to the car?
If new to car then a waste of time and effort imho. Also as Chris said re top mounts, they're cheap enough and easy enough to change, assuming that you're assembling the struts.

When I say new I mean new to the car, they came off of a low mileage car from Steve at Omega spares, Heathrow & It's the drop link from the strut :y

Please don't mind me asking, but why are you changing so much of your suspension?
Is it all completely shot? :-/
-
Well sort of, the N/S wishbone needs replacing so that means I've got to change the O/S one.
O/S shock is leaking so again need to change the N/S one & I'm recovering from an operation on my right foot so cant stand for long periods so thought I'd just change the whole unit so I don't have to break the old ones down.
Two of the tie rod boots leaking a small bit so I decided to change it all before the MOT in 6 weeks so I don't have to replace the others in a few months.

While I sympathise with you predicament, but I can't help but think that s/h is a bad idea. :-/
I recently did a similar amount of work on mine, the prices as follows:
2x vx struts, £75 ea, £150
2x pattern top mounts £15 ea, £30
2x pattern wishbones with drop links £45 ea, £90.
Total £270. plus a few nuts and bolts. Oh and an afternoon or two. :y

It's only the struts that are S/H & guaranteed & I can find anyone with a problem with Steve's stuff so if they are no good I'll buy new, everything else is Vauxhall dealer bought

Can't really argue with that. :y
Was only thinking about the possibility of having to do the job twice.
