Title: Facelift 3.0 Which oil?

Just bought 2001 3.0 Elite,and previous owner used fully synthetic engine oil.   What oil is most suited to this engine?

At the price, you can't go wrong with VX 10 / 40 semi synth  :y

What's the milage ?

Mileage is 133k.

I'd stick to 10/40 and change the oil and filter every 4 / 5000 miles  :y

I use GM's semi 10W40 in both my Omegas (prefacelift 3.0l, 174k, and facelift Elite, 58k), as its only £10 for 5l on TC.

I also use it in the Kawasaki and in the lawnmower, as its cheap!

Also, because its so cheap, I change it regularly - the single best thing you can do for an engine.

If you prefer fully synthetic then GM 5w30 is also very cheap on Trade Club. (About £14 for 5 litres if you go for the 4 for 3 offer).
