Bloody Hell or should that be Sacre Bleu! ::) Your original post is only 12 minutes old. At this time on a bank Holiday week end people are either out & about, p155ed, getting p155ed or thinking of bed if they're in work tomorrow, not necessarily on a forum ........... ::)

spigot bearing
, dmf, full clutch kit, clutch pedal and associated hydraulics pipework,
tunnel top fittings for manual including gaitor and plate
gearbox and lever, support bracket etc, you will need to bypass the starter cut out wiring for the autobox and small amount of wiring for reverse lihts ifirc
you wont need to change master cylinder as the feed for the slave is just blanked off on auto,s, so cut the blank off when you have connected the pipework,, cant remember which pin in the ecu you need to ground? or break off to tell the car its a manual sorry, sure its on here somewhere
good luck!!
as for putting it in a 2.0 bodyshell, well it wont be easy!! nowhere for the intercooler and various brackets missing for oil cooler pipework etc, may be best to change the entire front subframe for a diesel one, which also means you wil need the diesel brake setup as its bigger than 2.0 i think!
propshaft on diesel is the bigger flange and the 2.0 axle is the smaller flangetype so diff will prob require changing to get the proper diff ratio in there or hybrid prop made but not sure how long the 2.0 diff will take the torque
there is a whole lot more to it than meets the eye, i have just pointed you in the right direction ! :y

damn your good on here....
thankyou very much for your time.
thats going to be a few sundays under two cars i think.
so do you think i can use the fly wheel from the 2.0l model motor or source a bmw flywheel.?
you are a star. :y :y :y :y ;D

no go on 2.0 dmf, even if it did bolt on its balanced for a 4 pot not a 6pot!! have to be omega or bmw one mate, clutch kit wont fit either, also forgot to mention exhaust hangers will be in the wrong place on the 2.0 bodyshell, :y

err might have to sack that idea then.
the price of parts and cars over here is ridiculous.
the problem is the bmw engined autobox chomper, is rusting around the gills, the 2.0l petrol is in really good condition but is petrol, good car but just not a diesel....nevermind.
thankyou very much for all your help, very much appreciated. :( :y

If you are chewing up Transmissions, Fit an AR35 transmission. It'll handle the torque of the chipped? engine with relative ease.
-
its doable but a lot more work than you think!!
-
thankyou, ar 35? been there done that.. :'(
the engine isn't even chipped. last gearbox did the shuddering second gear trick, then 3rd and finally onto no movement......
will stick with the good looking 2,0l.... :y
