I'm looking at having a go at the LPG front end kit next week.
Has anybody got a part number list for the o ring seals on the plenum ?
Other than giving the breathers a bloody good clean, what else should I consider doing while the top is in bits ?
DLK re built the heads 18 months back for me so no problems with covers or owt :y
No problems with temperature so I guess the stat is working ok :y
Would anybody do anything else while its in bits ?
Opinions welcome

Given you are fundamnetally changing the fuelling, I'd be more inclined to get the LPG on as it is, rather than introduce more potential faults...

Know what you mean TB but .............
Ever since I finally got round to putting the long nose plenum / 3 ltr ecu on it, the instant comsumption on the MID has been a little high at idle ( about 0.3-0.4 ltr per hour )
Before then, it was a 3 ltr block with a short plenum / 2.5 ecu.
I have checked for air leaks
Clamped of the ICV pipe and it stalled so I was thinking that a little air was creeping in via a seal somewhere :-/
With the short plenum, it sat at 0.2 when the engine was warmed through :y
0.3 with the air con on.
They are no starting / running issues with the engine. It runs sweet and very quite :y
Hence i was thinking of a worn seal somewhere :-/
Since it is all going to be pulled apart, i thought i would try and get to the botton of this at the same time :-/

Has anybody got the part number for the rubber seal that fits onto the black plastic breather box on top of the plenum.
The part that sits round the part that sits into the alloy plenum :-/
If anybody can understand what i'm talking about that is :-[ ::)
The local VX dealer around here are @@@@@@@ idiots :(

Is this what you were after?
Breather bridge to plenum seal 1 off required - 90467543
Quoted from the breather cleaning how to guide (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1285583967).
It is item 42 in this parts diagram (http://www.genmotorinfo.com/Picture.aspx?ccId=461290692&ppId=304058258&ppInfo=1997-2001+V%2cEngine+ASM-3.0L+V6%2cPart+5%2cManifolds+And+Fuel+Related+Parts+-+OV00005) as referenced from the very useful GM Parts Giant site (http://www.gmpartsgiant.com/Page_Product/PartDetail.aspx?modelYear=2000&model=Catera&make=Cadillac&catalogCode=65V&modelCode=6VR69&seriesCode=6VR&bodyStyleCode=69&engineCode=L81&transCode=ML4&majorIndexID=00&isBigPicture=False&isDisplay=False&minorIndexID=OV0000501) that gives you most of the part number
As you can see, in the USA you don't need to pay the full retail price of $0.40 because they offer it at a deeply discounted $5.92 :-?

Hi Steve,
I was wondering whether the ECU might be a bit confused? Reason is that it came from a '99 3.0 Auto Estate and is actually operating in a '97(?) manual IIRC.
Just an idea.
Are there any differences? I don't know, I'm just asking.

Hi Rob, since I dropped the 2.5 throttle body on to the long plenum with the 3 ltr ecu, it runs great :y
More torque and abit better mpg :)
3 ltr block / 2.5 ltr ecu, short plenum, throttle body .............. 25 mpg ish around town
3 ltr block / 3 ltr ecu / long plenum / 2.5 throttle body .............. nearly 27 mpg around town :y
Don't ask me how or why, i'll leave that to the experts ;D ;D ;D
I know most of the rubber seals are knack*ed and the idle consumption is a little high so just looking to sort it all out while the thing is in bits :y
