Title: coolant level warning

hi guys ,the coolant level warning is constantly lit on the dash of my 2.5 cdx estate (w reg facelift ) and yet ,the coolant level is fine , can any of you please help me to rectify this ?

Knackered sensor in coolant tank. Can try pushing sensor up & down to rectify but invariably it`s a new tank from VX as sensor is incorporated within. Around £35

or you can try unclipping the tank and have a look at the electrical connection in the bottom  :y

or you can undo the plug and and put a link in and short it out  ::)

Kinda defeats the object of warning sensors :-?

Your best bet arrange a new sensor, fingers x'd should solve it!  :y

IIRC it's , virtually, impossible to change the sensor. As recommended, change the header tank. :y

just to let you all know, i had the same problem. the float sensor inside the header had broke free and gave me a constant coolant level warning on the MID. changed header tank from one from scrappy and all sorted now  ;)

when its something you should check regular anyway,theres far too many sensors on cars nowadays and people are loseing the art of lifting the bonnet
