Title: a/c condensor
Post by: Andy B on 23 May 2011, 13:23:29
I'm amazes there was any air flow across my condensor  :-?

I just need a bit of reasonable weather to put the new one in ......... It's throwing it down at the moment.  :(

If only life was that simple  ;) That's corrosion towards the top/left and there were signs of dye there last year.
I'm hoping to get the system re-gassed over the next day or so, I'll go from there, but I ain't spending any more money on a system I only get a few months use out of.  :-?

That condenser looked bunged up enough to disrupt the airflow to the main rad,did you have any overheating issues?

The only heating/cooling problems I've ever had were a few years ago when we first hooked up our caravan. A new radiator sorted that, even when towing in low/mid 30oC in France.

logic and expensive experience told me that if those things can stick to condenser the small stones from road can damage it..  :(

they damaged mine  (before I bought it)  and when searching for leaks I saw many leakage points with colored a/c gas.. so covered the bumpers inside with something like this
