As I am sure others on here will say (if they haven't already by the time I type this), the first thing to look at is the IACV, breather jet and hoses.
I had the same on my 2.0l and cleaned them out this weekend (breather jet was totally blocked), there is a guide here which is exactly what I followed having never done it before myself.
Takes a bit of time but not that difficult a job, a bit fiddly in places (i.e. taking clamp of the small breather hose and undoing the breather jet).
Guides are here:

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152787761
And if you want to make a complete job, you can take off the throttle body aswell and clean that out:

Total cost is about £20 tops, thats for a tin of carb cleaner, IACV gasket and Throttle body gasket (both gaskets = £2.50 from a Vauxhall dealer).

That idle speed is just a tad low, which should be sorted if you follow Shelby's perfect answer to your post. It will stop cutting out if you follow all of the steps in the linked threads.
I'm quietly hoping that Shelby, myself, and one or two other 2.0 owners will copy and paste that answer into a convenient spot on their computer ready to roll it out every time this issue comes up, which is quite often. :y

Thanks :P
To be fair, I think mine idles at about the same once at running temp, ill have to double check tomorrow now on the way to work.
I didn't really notice any difference in general idle speed after cleaning mine out.
Oh, and have edited the original reply as the overall cost was a tad low, should of been more like £20 total not £10 as a can of Wynnes Carb Cleaner is more than £10 on it's own.

Had a look at my idle speed on the way into work today, and I notice it has infact increased slightly since cleaning out the IACV, pipes etc.
Mine now idles at around 700 when warmed up whereas it was idling very similar to yours before I cleaned it out.
