Title: Starting Problems

I have a 2001 2.6 16v Estate, and since Friday, when I go to start it, it does fire straight away, but takes about 30-40 seconds before it starts. I am no mechanic, and wondered if anyone had any idea what it could be. No lights have come on in the instrument panel, so should I take it to a garage for them to check for a fault.

Hello & welcome,

No need for a garage, use the code reading link in my signature and perform the pedal test, and report back with the results...

I would maybe expect a crank sensor error code  :y
