Title: Immobilizer light flickers when idling
Post by: ajr3773 on 27 May 2011, 20:16:40
Hi all.

New to the forum and looking for some much needed help from experienced Omega owners.

Ive recently purchased a 3.0ltr MV6 Elite Auto
that earlier today the Electronics / Immobilizer Indicator light has began to flicker on an off when sat in traffic or stood still at a junction or lights and just idling.

It dissappears completely when i drive off and get above 20mph or if i increase the revs whilst stood still and performance doesnt appear to be affected.

Anybody got any ideas

You have two possibilities in your first post which for some reason you chose to delete :-?

Apologies but i made a mistake. I initially stated the problem was with a engine management light but ive come to realise that the light that is flashing is an immobilizer light.

Orange light with "engine" shape is management light and also doubles as immobiliser light on your model
