I've a CDR 2005 fitted in my CD estate and been offered a bose amp, speakers ,loom and side mount sub also for an estate.( both facelift )
Is this a straight plug in and play upgrade , is it compatible with the CDR 2005 ? :-/

I think the answer is No mate. As far as I am aware the 2006 head units can be converted to Bose by using a Tech 2 :y
I could be wrong though.
This question would be better in the Electrical Section mate :y :y

I would have thought the main problem with your conversion Don is the fact the output from your head unit would over drive the amp, going back a few years when i used to mess about with amps etc I had to fit an output reducer to my head unit which took the output down to 0.4 watt if i remember correctly, It would be handy if you could find out if the Bose setup & head unit operates on the same principle. :y

Hi Tim.
I've reluctantly dropped the idea of fitting the system in my estate. The seller, who is on here , was very helpful but frankly the amount of work exceeded the need if you know what I mean.
Cheers
