Today I decided to take the cover off the drivers rear puddle light, on attempting to get the bulb out I accidently destroyed it.

I am upgrading them to SMD's and wondered what size in mm the bulbs are please?

 Cheers

-
Once I know the sixe then I don't mind breaking the other 3 to get them out and then just pushing the new ones in.

i think they're called festoon bulbs, as for the size? dont know sorry, and why do you need to break them, the covers pull off, the bulb just push/wedge it out!  :y

I got no probs in getting the covers off but for some reason they have been put in really tight.

for some reason they have been put in really tight. they are held in by a metal strip that acts like a spring so they will only move one way to get them out  :y
yes they are festoon bulbs and the size is

 42mm  :y
