Post by: greenfingers 79 on 30 May 2011, 20:02:29
my omega has started to display a message saying "brake pad" on the display.
i only changed the bloody things a few weeks ago so they cant be worn,
am thinking that there is a sensor that ive knocked or disconnected somewhere.
is there a how to or can someone please post some pics of what the sensor looks like and where i can find it.

depends what car you have whether you have only one on passenger front or one on each front  :-/
basically the sensor clips into the brake pad then wired to a round connector clipped to the bulkhead by the front suspension strut, did you use the original wear sensors or new?
the way to check whether it is sensor is to locate connector unplug and short it out if warning goes you have a duff sensor  :y

If you changed pads a few weeks ago you'd have had to remove it/them if it/they had been fitted. Sensors clip to the anti-rattle butterfly shaped clip on the pads themselves.
