I have got the part coming tomorrow to replace my climate control hedgehog, can anyone show me a picture or give me a how to write up for replacing it please?
-
If the hedgehog is the same on the V6 be very careful when removing old one I broke off both clips on the ducting (it was very cold when I did it) A repair headache. Have you looked at the Haynes manual for guidance Need to remove glove box to get close to the hedgehog

Glovebox out, then its all quite obvious. IIRC, the vac solenoids have to come out as well?
-
I will have a look in my haynes manual and see if it shows how to do it. But couldn't find it earlier, but will look for it again tonight.

Glovebox out. Look to the right and you`ll see two vac solenoids.

Remove these (2 screws each) for better access. Look right up and you can see the base of the controller held in by two clips. The clips are pushed away from the controller body to release it.

Thanks

As this sounds like a common fault I will try and remember to take photo's all throughout the process and try and do a write up for the maintenance section.

What do these soleniod do?

What do these soleniod do?
One controls the HBV (heater bypass valve) the other controls the recirculating function.
