Title: "DISPLAY SAFE" on CID
Post by: so comfortably numb on 10 June 2011, 14:11:21
I went to look at an Omega with an NCDC2013(?).  When I switched the ignition on the screen was like broken lines. I tapped it at the top of the dash and it came on properly only with the above msg displayed. I started the car and then the screen came to life with all the info but then went back to that message.  Could this possibly be poor connections?

I think that means the components arent paired to each other.

Screen sounds knackered.

IIRC if it flashes, 'display safe,' it can be coded with Tech2 using your car pass.

If it remains on 'display safe,' then you have a problem as it needs unpairing from the head unit it was originally fitted with.
But as Jimbob says, probably knacked
