Title: which oil ???

looking to do an oil and filter change on my 2002 2.6 v6 cdx.
im going for 10/40 sae  but should i use semi synthetic or synthetic ????.
any advice boys and girls  : :-/

Semi synthetic will be fine if you're doing regular changes and GM 10w40 if you can get trade club prices is very good value.

Semi synthetic as recommended by Vauxhall is very good oil
And it's a good price on trade club

Engine is a fair bit quieter using GM 10w40. Tried 5w30 at 160k service, will be sticking to 10w40 from now on though :y Vectras seem happy enough on the thinner stuff. :-/

most of the service history shows this car as having castrol performance most of the time.
just wanted to make sure semi synthetic it is then.
