Title: BMW tds autobox fit into omega td?
Post by: age_of_generals on 19 June 2011, 18:24:46
Would the bmw 525 tds automatic gearbox (GM one) fit the omega td?, looks pretty much the same, are there any electronic differences?

thanks

They used the GM box but also a ZF box, but question is that would the tds GM box work with the omega, they are essentially the same box but are there any electronic differences in them?

thanks

Never looked that closely at the BMW ones. Wouldn't like to be that close to a beemer ;D

Given the number of gearboxes available on this site, is it worth going down a potentially difficult line of fitting a BMW one?

One of the sump gaskets is different, filter is same, so may be a clearance issue?
