are the cam cover gaskets on a 98 v6 elite two seperate ones or are they one piece like i got from auto factores the mechanic told me they are two pieces for one side
-
they vary, the two seperate piece version is £7 cheaper and you can bridge the channel with sealant. If you have the gaskets that are joined and cam covers that don't have the channel for the join, cut the joint piece of gasket off (making it 2 seperate ones) and bridge with sealant just to make sure.

I hope for your sake they last but from general experience the pattern ones don't :( That's why we generally recommend genuine Vx ;)

u got to have the right ones first to go wrong its getting a pain in the bum not having the right ones first

Yes genuine vx is the only way to go, the 2 types i refer to are both genuine vx. Personally never fitted pattern ones but read many times that they are shite.

I aren't saying all, but alot of these so called genuine vauxhall parts people on fleabay etc aren't.
Go to your Vauxhall Dealer mate get the proper ones first as last :y

The ones that the sellers say are genuine are only genuine in so far as the manufacturer supplied GM..... Trouble is that they never supplied GM that particular gasket so really are just pattern parts.
As said repeatedly on here... Buy only GM ones from a dealer.
