You'd probably be better off trying to find another GM application in the US that used the same, or a compatible, gearbox.

I'm guessing the other parts of the conversion could be shipped over reasonably cheaply, but the gearbox is going to be expensive.

there are none.

It's a Getrag 240, with a GM-specific bellhousing pattern.

So, probably cheaper to source a V8 plus manual gearbox locally than ship just a gearbox to the US. I know what I'd do. ;)

I guess look for one that's being broken on here and see if the breaker would be prepared to ship it international.

You would need to find out if the clutch pedal parts are handed, though. If so, you'd probably need to source them from a left-hand-drive car, so sourcing one in continental europe would be the only option. :-/

Hi I have looked into a manual swap for my catera, but did not get too far.  My plan was to piece it together from someone parting out a LHD omega or similar manual GM model, and shipping it.

Have you made any progress?

Can you message me with more info?  I am curious what a conversion package would cost, and any rough estimate of what shipping could be.....

Well if $210-$340 is a reasonable shipping estimate, that's not too bad.

Serek, any idea what the conversion kit would cost? It would have to be everything down to the wiring loom on the gearbox and all.
