I've read, with some interest, various posts about updating the software on the 'box ecu. Thing is, not sire where to go to get it done. I'm pretty sure my local dealer(s) would fob me off or not know enough about them to do it. Failing that, is there anyone from here who has the know how??

If that is too far away, I have one that is upgraded that you could have via post for a modest amount.
