Title: engine management light flickering
Post by: ronno on 03 July 2011, 18:38:00
Hi,
I've just done my first timing belt change on a 3.0 elite. Bought the dvd and it really helped but, having stripped it down twice this weekend, checked the stripes on the belt, aligned the cam sprockets etc the damned EML flickers. The engine sounds fine, pulls beautifully from standing so I'm hoping it may be a duff connector. How do I check for fault codes? It's a '99 model by the way.

Cheers

Well It turned out to be the plug that connects at the rear of the plenum (hadn't been put back fully.....I am now wearing my donkey ears with pride!!!!!).
Thanks for advice though guys.
