in thailand, just having the road done now before I go out in March, then all is left is to complete the Garden, any garden designers out there????? ::) ::)
Some nice black tarmac with Omega sized spaces, air and water lines, well stocked spares dept. and tyre fitting area should look nice!!! Oh and a valeting area to get the flies off the screen. A well lawned waiting area would do nicely if there is any room left.

Actually in the house opposite the front gate, other side of the road, they actually do repairs to cars and trucks and some bodywork repairs and spraying, but all done outside but under there house :-/

how do they manage that

wow! very nice! my Mum and Dad's friends have just had a house built for them out there, it was finished half way through january. How did you manage to buy? dont you need to be Thai to be able to own the land? or do you have a Thai wife?

I have a Thai wife, been with her for almost 8 years now, bought the land back in 2004, left it for a year, went back filled it in left it for another year (earth needs to settle), strating the build in 06 finished last April, furnished etc., just the finishing bits now :y, and yes if you ain't married to a thai you can't own the land or house etc., you need to set some kind of business up and pay off a thai bloke etc., not sure if thats changed now though, with so many europeans going out there. What most folks do though, is don't get maaried pay for everything in it's only in their girlfriends name; Gotta watch out for the paperwork aswell e.g., land papers there are 2 diferrent types, one with green stamp (not so good) and one with red stamp ( the proper one) :y

Very nice....
On the garden advice, my recommendation is Astroturf......as this needs hoovering occasionaly it falls under the domain of 'wife' to maintain.
Its the perfect solution all round.
