I should have said that it doesnt matter if i`m moving or not it still sounds... would that still be a cv joint?

Ahhh, won't be a CV joint then. Could be the power steering pump??

Unlikely to be a CV joint as the steering doesn't change the angle of the CV joint on a RWD vehicle ;) ;) ;)

I would be looking at the Steering Fluid level as a start, then at the pump as it is working harder when on lock... Check the pulley for security too :y :y
