Title: egr question???

I've bought an used egr  while back and plan to change it today afternoon.
What I'm curious about is this.
I've used nitro paint thinner to clean the mentioned egr.
Filled it up a few times, left it for a couple of minutes and then emptied it.
Now if I shake the egr I can hear slight clicking sound coming from inside it.
Is this ok and normal??

Yup, the slug in the solenoid will move and rattle a bit when shaken.
