hi all stripped wheel bearing down and struggerling to get it out ,any tips as not got bearing puller.
also the new one is a complete unit where as i could see the bearing balls when it was stripped down ,any tips plz asap.

remove each bit as you can...
Hammer and chisell and bash like break.
failing that, trailing arm off, use a drift and a sledgehammer and smash it out.
Then - freeze new one, insert and use old outer case as a drift to push it back in, then struggle with that rather large circlip

and the 2 ive been involved with, it seems normal to see the ball bearings on removal as your unlikely to get the old one out in one piece.
they should be, and remain hidden in the new one.

I've never attempted one on an Omega (although that may change soon ::) ), but I did one on a Range Rover I owned. After bashing & belting at it for an age & the innerds falling out & gettin nowhere, I took a dremmel with a cutting disc at it and gentley cut out the shell (have to be very careful not to cut into the hub) , then prised it out with a screwdriver. Dunno if yo can do the same here though??

tried a hacksaw on one for a while....but is was so hardened didnt make an impression!

hooray .bearing out wiyh the use of a puller from a neighbour ,just got to put the new one in .
