Title: Crank sensor
Post by: B4rry.B on 31 July 2011, 11:21:50
Hi all,

been having trouble with surging whilst stationary, have changed the MAF, which has made some change for the better to how she drives, got a new crank sensor, but can't find where it goes, had a look in the haynes manual, but it appears to be the only sensor NOT mentioned, :-[, had a look round the engine bay, but not found anything that resembles a crank sensor,  :-?, can anyone enlighten me please.

Barry

About 50mm forward of the dipstick tube on the 4-pots but C/S won`t cause "surging"

Try cleaning the idle control valve and throttle body. doesn't take long and a tin of carb cleaner is £3 so its a cheap fix if it cures it.
