Title: Boot dampers

Is it posible to replace factory dampers that open boot with someting stronger? I would like to be able to open the boot totaly buy a buttonr inside, or a key ( something like on the S-class or   new Škoda Superb..).

be an interesting mod, assume you have a later facelift which has the button/remote and no handle on the boot.

Guess it would be a lot harder to shut if you put super strong ones on  :-/

I had the very same thought once, but the heavy weight of the boot lid, plus the fact that it would need to be lifted a fair way, put me off the idea. Good point about closing it too, it would be virtually a two-man job!

That was my consern too, but if I figure what dumpers would be just enough to open it, and not any stronger, it might work??

Guess the bonnet is lot heavier, yet that is still ok to shut. If you find anything suitable I might be interested in this mod :)
