Post by: WIGGY on 08 August 2011, 14:03:52
HI! I have a omega 2.0 gls estate 2000... the outside temp  reading is showing _ _ . _ F .. The manual says its faulty and must be repaired by Vauxhall. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is located on the car and if i can do anything to fix it myself.

towards the passenger side of the car on the very lower edge of the front spoiler. A new sensor from Vx is around £6  :y

If it's a facelift model then the temperature sensor is in the middle of the front bumper below the numberplate. It's difficult to see but just pops out.

There's also a connector near the fog light which can get full of water and corrode and give problems like a duff sensor.
