Title: Meggy total closure
Post by: omega3000elite on 02 February 2008, 19:24:09
Just been to see David from Total closure (link below) who used my facelift Elite as the test car for the full closure system.  Basically , this allows you to deadlock the car and walk away leaving the control box to close the windows / roof.

He will be posting pics + video as well as a "How to" guide on his site this weekend.

Kits are £30 and work well and are quick and easy to fit.

All in all , better than standing there holding the button down while the windows close !
Top job and a nice guy.

That's cool. I'd be game if it would also close the rust holes in my doors.  ::)

you have to stand there and hold the button whist its closing.

the beauty of a true total closure kit is you push the button once and it is done

Thing is i never open my windows anymore!

cold in winter, so keep the warmth in, climate in summer keep cool! So i never find myself getting out of the car with the windows open!

Main point here ......... at least you will never walk away and forget an open window / roof - esp. if a passenger opens a near side rear etc !

And a nice touch , rather than standing there holding the button while they close ?

kit way overpriced I'm afraid :(

Not that i want such a system - I frequently want to leave windows and sunroof open

So is mine supposed to close up with the remote, or is that facelifts only?

my dads old granada had total closure...

I just don't see the point in the kit. If you leave a window open, (which is rare with cars with air-con) just old the remote close for just 4-5 seconds.

i can see the point on cars without aircon, cause all the windows and sunroof would be open.

But with cars with climate? not a lot of point.

The car park I use at work is a card entry system which means I have to lower the drivers window to swipe the card, In that case Total Closure is good. Holding down the button on the remote is slow and haphazzard compared to just double clicking and everything closes.

Also, on a nice day it's sometimes nice to have the sunroof and rear windows open.... admittedly a fine day in this country is about once every five years!  ;D

Lazy in my opinion! dosent hurt to hold the button for a few secs! that control box is just something else to go wrong! if your worried about the wife in the dark surely its not that hard to remember the windows and roof are open and do it from inside the car?! the only reason i use that feature was to test it! I always seem to remember the roof or windows are open!

I'll try it again. Battery probably gave out before it started closing the windows. On other key now since it died completely.  ::)

The windows and roof have to be programmed using normal procedure so in knows when to stop

Ah, that might be the problem since the OSR window does not work and therefore can not be programmed . . .  :-[
