Title: What are they?

looking at a 2nd Omega today and on the steering wheel controls the bottom buttons on each side seem to u/s in that they are floopy with no spring resistance, just checked the link for the handbook but it is a bit vauge, so what purpose do they serve?

On my 2.0l CDX (assuming they are the same on the one you are looking at), the bottom left switches between CDs in the changer and the bottom right switches between Radio / CD changer if I remember correctly.

Not 100% sure as the car is at home and I am at work, but I think thats correct.

car is a 2000 2 lgls so only has the4 single cd slot, wish i had taken notice of the pic on them

The HU is a CDR 2005 so bottom left button will switch to next stored radio station (or re-starts CD if playing). Bottom right switches between radio and CD

Or you could pick up another steering wheel with working buttons for £20 or so. ;)
