What is the procedure for obtaining the above codes, as i shall have to disconnect battery to refit new steering wheel switches.
-
Battery disconnection is a "belt & braces" safeguard Bob. It can be done with the battery still connected and ignition OFF. When the 2 torx that hold the airbag squib are removed just have to be careful not to dislodge any connectors when easing out from the wheel

Rob thanks for that going from my Scorpio days when it was considered vital to disconnect battery and leave for 30mins.

In a perfect world (if you had the code) you would do with your Omega ;) ;) ;) :y

As long as ignition is kept OFF shouldn`t be a problem.
Radio code is on the "car pass". If you haven`t got one VX will charge anything between £20-50 for the pass which will also give you the immobiliser code (for programming new keys). Beware though, the radio code supplied is for the head unit that was fitted in the factory

For the past 7 years I've had the car Pass supplied when I bought it. I recently wanted it ............. couldn't find it :-?, so had to buy another. :(

... so it's worth phoning around several dealers to get the best price. Seems to be pretty random as far as I can tell :-?
-
Aye, ring around for carpass, they vary between £18 to £55, depending on how much of a scheming thief your dealer is.
-
Try ringing the original supplying dealer. I did this with my previous Omega and the chap I spoke to remembered selling the car when new. I must have got lucky as it was about 8 years old at the time !
He gave me the radio code over the phone.
-
£24.75 seems to be the standard price for Gloucestershire so far
-
Message or ring Andy, may be cheaper via post.
