Hi guys i am thinking of changing the exhaust on my mig to a stainless system ! questions i have are  can i go straight through (i.e get rid of the cats , dont know if they have to be there legally ) if so does ecu or anything have to be altered or is it best to go from cat back ?  :-/ any advice would be much appreciated  :y

keep the cats, and go stainless back from there. ECU does not need any adjustment  :y

Highly unlikely that it could get through the mot emissions test without cats. Also, it seems that from next year if a car left the factory with cats it will have to have them fitted for the MOT test, even if it passes emissions test.
So, as Tunnie says, leave the cats on. :y
