Usually the fuel filter is located quite high up on most diesel Vx's, think it's to try and create a reservoir to help 'em to start more easily...

Is the filter located up on the bulkhead? Doesn't the top just come off?

Ahh, Sorry Mate, to be honest I've never even seen a diesel Omega from inside the engine bay, Cavaliers and Vectra's on the other hand...
 ;D
Where abouts in the country are you? Perhaps a friendly Forum Member may be located near by to lend a hand?

when you get pipes off  the rubber seal may split and come off with the filter, they inside the plastic housing, when you get new ones in they a bit fiddely have to make sure they in right or when the new filter on, then the new filter will cut them and then leaks. cannot remeber part number but went to vauxhall and they had them it.... there are green ones awell. :y
