had fault codes 0115 ect sensor to high 0130 o2 sensor circut open 0170 fuel trim mixture lean and 1405 egr valve acturall valve low . fitted new egr valve and ect sensor hoping wod clear lean mixture and o2 fully serviced inc fuel filter and throttle body seems exhaust blows at manifold when starts but dissapears aftrer acouple of minutes had codes cleared but came back on next day is their any internal workings to egr in cylinder head

Just a drilling to channel exhaust gases out of the back of the head, through the valve, and a channel in the casting that the valve sits on, then another drilling in the intake side of the head to take the flow into a channel within the inlet manifold. I guess any part of this pathway could become partly or completely soot-blocked, if the engine has been run for a long while in poor condition.

thank you for that m8 i will look into that :y

Seems to me most likely that you have a wiring fault. The EGR can be blanked off in terms of gasflow and not result in error codes as long as the wiring is still plugged into the valve. Since you have put a new valve on (assuming that it works), this points to a wiring fault. I think.
Which codes have come back, just the EGR?

all is well but to only code that is coming up now is 0170 fuel trim system mixture lean.
