Title: Cannister type oil filter housing.

Hi, does anyone know what size ring spanner I will need to remove the end cap of the cannister type oil filter housing? First oil change planned for this weekend.  :y

As Radar says, 24mm.  If a monkey previously did it, you may need something to stop the cannister turning.

Sorry for the short reply earlier - i was in the middle of something at work. For "safety" (and as The Boy mentions) I had a banded filter wrench which i used to hold the main base just in case. Also i found that if you only partially unscrew the cap at first and let oil drip out it will make less mess on the underside of your car.
