Title: Radio station memory oddity
Post by: stevief on 24 November 2006, 12:54:00
I've had a minor niggle concerning the radio memory since I bought the car which may or may not be a quick fix but knowing where to look would be a good place for me to start.

When on radio the radio station memory works perfectly and returns to the last station each time the ingnition is switched on but when you are playing either tape or CD the memory is not held and the likes of traffic reports etc are lost and when you switch back to radio the frequency is back down at 87.5 (or there abouts) but on the odd occasion it will stay at the last station listened to.

Given that the memory holds when constantly on radio I suspect it is an internal problem when you switch to tape or cd.

Any ideas appreciated.

Mine did the same......never did get it sorted, seems to be down to the battery volts dropping during cranking...

Thanks Mark.

At least I know it is not just my unit and not really worth worrying about but it just seems strange that it only drops out when the radio is not in use.
