Title: Bose question
Post by: meegaveesix on 20 May 2007, 17:09:33
Took the rear parcel shelf out today because I'd spotted some loose wires in with the Bose amp tray.  Pulled them clear but I can't see where they are supposed to plug in.  Does anyone have any ideas what its supposed to plug into?  I've had a sniff around but can't see anything its not plugged in to....

I don't know, but looking at them, I am going to stick my neck out and say some kind of cellular prewiring - the fme looks cellular, and the 16 pin plug looks suspiciously like the one taped behind glovebox on prewired cars....

That's odd.  Mines got the CCRT 700 with the built in phone so I was kind of along your thoughts in thinking it was cellular, but my phone works as it should so I'm assuming that its all wired in as it should.

Could it be for aftermarket wiring for car phones perhaps?

Hmmm, in that case I have no idea...

See, now that was my other thought, but my Elite also has Carin nav (which works perfectly well with its new disc) and when I took the Bose amp out the other day, thought I'd go the whole hog and take the Carin unit out as well (curiosity more than anything else), no missing connections - well actually, no spare holes anywhere.  Besides - doesn't Carin run off of a sole speaker mounted in the passenger footwell?

i pulled the carin out of my scrapper yesterday. the carin has a plug like that, but at the other end of the loom, for the little screen thingie.....
the plugs at the player/brain are two little square multiplugs, looks like a phone ariel bnc plug thing though.....
