Title: Radio speed sensor
Post by: h5pdk on 06 July 2007, 18:18:56
I have a 2002 omega CDX I understand the volume of the radio can be set to increase and decrease with the speed of the car. Is there a way of switching this feature on.

Yes, have a look in the audio manual, you hold in a button, from memory it's AS, until it beeps. The display reads something like speed vol 0 to 5? 0 is off. Try 3 or 4 and hold button in again to set.

If I have remembered the wrong button I apologise, manual will tell you.

Welcome to site :)

If you are missing manual, can be downloaded from Vauxhall :y

On my prefacelifts, I think its UML to change it...

AS is for entering the security code on mine, IIRC. It's a 3 second hold on the Tuner button to change the speed dependant volume. (CCR2006)

Mine increases the volume quite gradually until you get to 70 then it goes up in a big jump. It's a real disincentive to keep your speed legal when you've got the AC/DC CD in and are pressing on. On a private test track, of course  ;)
