Title: AUTO DIM MIRROR NOT QUITE RIGHT

 :question Connected my mirror thru the courtesy light. Connections made were brown from mirror (GND) to brown in light (GND). Black from male plug of mirror ( I had part of the loom and traced IGN wire from female plug) to black in light which is a switched live. What I now have is when it`s getting dark, if I switch ignition on the mirror dims straight away. If I cover the photo cell on the mirror face it reverts back to normal. Obviously I`ve c*c*ed up somewhere. Can someone lead me in the right direction. :-/ :-/

Did you follow the guide on here?

I should think the wiring is the same on facelift and pre facelift

There is more than one of each colour wire, so trial and error to find right ones...

Will try again this morning. Might use the sunroof connection. I`ll post later. :y
